Writing words

Today in the class we practice writing the name of the picture.  Insha loves to do work, but she still doesn't like writing dhivehi. So today I provided each student with a small white board with markers. writing with markers are so motivating for her that I do not have to call her once. She was so motivated and into her work, that she write like 30 words today.

Ooboofili

Today's lesson was about " ooboofili ". And the children had a lot of fun while making the sound of it and checking their peers mouth to see the shape of their lips while making the sound. 

Insha has the confidence and takes initiation while participating in the classroom discussions. Today, I ask children to come infront and say some words which include the fili. She was the first to rise the hand and come.  

To learn the fili we even did a wall chart, which is now pasted in the wall of the class. Today's work was quite easy for her, which she finishes in no time at all. So today she got plenty of time to read stories. She make a small group of her friends and they all read dhivehi stories.

Obofili

Obofili is something children find difficult. Although children use it while speaking they mostly do not know how to use is appropriately. But Insha is excellent in using obofili in words. Today, she finished her work first. She was very happy about it. But somehow, today she wasn't in her perfect mood. I tried to cheer her up by giving her choice to play or read a story. But she wasn't intrested.
So at last I gave her the colorful wires to make something. At the end she made a beautiful bird with it.

Writing FILI

Today Insha practiced writing fili on the letters provided. She was able to do the work on her own. Writing fili was quite easy as she was able to read words easily. She was not in her best mood, which shows in her coloring. Usually she is interested in coloring. But today she did not complete the work by coloring all the pictures.

Practicing reading

Reading divehi words were practiced today and Insha read these words alone. She was able to complete the work without much guidance. Now her vocabulary is also improving as she use the new words that she learns everyday. The word vaadhee was new for almost all the children but Insha was the one to ask its meaning. Her love for learning, is really a step for her to excel in studies.
